Hallikar
Overview
Hallikar cattle are one of the best draft breeds in southern India. They originated in the Mysore region of Karnataka and are highly valued for their speed, endurance, and strength.

- Color: Grey to dark grey
- Horn type: Long and curved backward
- Body size: Lean, muscular, and well built
Milk Production
- Average yield: 3–5 L/day
Native Region
Mainly found in Karnataka, especially in Mysore, Mandya, and Hassan districts.

Feeding Requirements

Disease Resistance
Hallikar cattle have good resistance to heat stress and can survive under harsh climatic conditions.
